Copper Tub Structure

Dimensions

• First, it's crucial to have precise measurements of your available space for your bathtub. When measuring the designated bathtub area, be sure to allocate space for plumbing installation, ensuring convenient access for future maintenance. As a general guideline, plan for at least 4 inches of space between your tub and bathroom wall on all sides.
• Next, take precise measurements of any doorways, hallways, stairwells, or other passages through which the tub must pass during installation. (Because the need to remove doors, widen doorways, or open drywall could lead to increased labor expenses, impacting both your budget and timeline.)
• Length: The length of a custom copper bathtub can be various. Typically, they range from 48 inches (4 feet) to 72 inches (6 feet) or even longer. It depends on your space. Longer bathtubs can be more luxurious but require larger bathroom spaces.
• Width: Considering comfortable spacious experience, standard width of Raneghoodmaster is 32 inches. Custom size is available.
• Height/Depth: The depth of the bathtub affects the water capacity and the overall soaking experience. Our freestanding copper tubs typically have depths ranging from 27 to 33 inches to achieve a great soaking experience and relaxation.

Copper tub Maintenance:

Copper has a living surface so it will continually lighten and darken in time creating the beautiful rich patina. This natural process is what gives copper its anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties. Therefore, copper is easily tarnished by water, harsh chemicals and oxygen. To minimize the problem, here are some several things to keep in mind for a copper bathtub.

• Reduce the amount of time your copper item is wet or exposed to chemicals(especially acids)
• Do not leave pools of water on the bathtub. After each use, dry the bathtub with a soft towel or cloth.
• Avoid direct acid exposure(such as lemon juice, ketchup, baking soda, vinegar, sauce, etc.)
• Avoid mineral oil.
• Use specialized copper cleaners to remove tarnish and restore the bathtub's shine. Avoid abrasive or harsh cleaners that can damage the copper or remove its protection coating
• Patina Maintenance: If you appreciate the natural patina that develops on copper, you can let it age naturally.  If you want to keep the patina,  Using a wax or sealant designed for copper to protect the finish and slow down the development of patina if desired.

Regular Cleaning on Custom Copper Tubs

• Clean the copper tub with warm water and a mild, pH-balanced, non-abrasive soap.
• Use a soft sponge or microfiber washcloth with cleaner and rinse with warm water
• Dry the bathtub with a clean, soft cloth or towels.

IMPORTANT:

• Do not use any abrasive cleaning pads or materials to wipe the bathtub
• Do not use any acidic cleaners, which will remove the finish/coating from the copper.
