3 Recent Custom Range Hoods We Love Seeing in Their Kitchens

3 Recent Custom Range Hoods We Love Seeing in Their Kitchens

One of our favorite parts of making custom range hoods is seeing where they end up.

A hood can look beautiful in a CAD drawing or in the workshop, but it really comes to life once it becomes part of the kitchen. Here are three recent customer installations that show just how differently a custom hood can work with the surrounding design.

1. Natural Zinc + Antique Brass: A Classic, Layered Look

This kitchen features our SH3 curved range hood in a natural zinc finish, with clipped corners, crown molding, and antique brass straps. The combination has a wonderful aged, architectural character. The natural variation of zinc works especially well with the warm tones throughout the kitchen, while the antique brass straps add just enough contrast.

We particularly like how the clipped-corner shape and crown molding give the hood a substantial presence without making it feel too heavy.

2. Brushed Brass SH5: Made for a Richer Kitchen

The second kitchen takes a completely different direction.

This SH5 ribbed range hood is finished in Brushed Brass, paired with a deeper, more dramatic kitchen palette. The ribbed detailing adds dimension to the hood, while the luxury brass tone helps it feel like part of the architecture rather than simply another appliance.

In a kitchen with darker cabinetry, stone, or other rich materials, a brass hood can become a beautiful focal point while still feeling warm and sophisticated.

3. Clean White + Champagne Bronze: Simple and Modern

The third installation is much lighter and more minimal. For this kitchen, we created an SH8 sloped range hood in white, with the hood depth customized to flush with the surrounding cabinet depth. Champagne bronze straps add a subtle touch of warmth without taking away from the clean white palette.

This is a good example of how a custom hood doesn't always need to be dramatic. Sometimes the best design is the one that fits so naturally into the cabinetry that everything feels intentional and balanced.

Three Kitchens, Three Completely Different Directions

Natural zinc, brushed brass, and white. Curved, ribbed, and sloped. There isn't one “right” range hood style. The best design is the one that works with the architecture, materials, proportions, and personality of the kitchen.

That's what we enjoy most about custom work at RangeHoodMaster, starting with an idea and creating a hood that feels like it was always meant to be there.
